OneRoster is a paid service that lets you schedule an automatic import of student, teacher, and class data.
To access OneRoster, select Settings > Integrations > OneRoster Integration.
Step 1: Connection tab
This tab lets you establish a connection between OneRoster and Work Orders.
Steps
- Complete the following fields:
- Base URL
- Token URL
- API Key
- API Secret
- To test the connection, click Test.
- To save the settings, click Save.
- To go to the next tab, click Next.
Step 2: Field Mapping tab
This tab shows the OneRoster fields and what field they are mapped to in Work Orders.
Step 3: Location Mapping tab
This tab lets you see the OneRoster sites and link them to the buildings they are mapped to in Work Orders.
Steps
- To add buildings, click Configure Location.
- To map a builing, click
.
- From the Select Building drop-down, select the associated building.
- Do this for each building.
- Click Next.
Step 4: Sync Data tab
This tab lets you associate a role in OneRoster to a role in Work Orders.
Steps
- To add a role, click +Add Role.
- From the OneRoster Role drop-down, select Administrator, Teacher, or Student.
- From the Roles drop-down, select the associated role(s) in Work Orders.
- To associate a role to a request type, use the Request Types drop-down.
- If this role should be Active, ensure the checkbox is selected.
- Click Save.
- To sync the data right away, click
, otherwise the data will sync every 24 hours.
You can also edit, inactivate, or delete a role.
Work Orders will sync the data every 24 hours.
During the nightly OneRoster sync, students are inactivated in Work Orders if they are marked inactive or 'to be deleted' in the student information system (SIS).
