When accessing the request detail page in certain cases, a Previous and Next button will display in the upper left side of the request detail page. These buttons will allow the user to easily navigate from request to request for more efficient updating and oversight on requests.
There are a few things to keep in mind regarding the Previous/Next buttons:
1. Previous/Next buttons will only display if you happen to visit a list page of requests, and the request you selected was included on that page.
- For example, if you log in and the first thing you do is visit the left side Dashboard menu and you select a request, it will not show a "Previous/Next" button because you didn't visit a list page where that specific request was present on that page.
2. Selecting the Previous/Next buttons will go in order based on the last list page you were on.
- For example, if you're on page 4 of "Open Requests" and select a request, it will follow the order of that page.
3. Previous/Next buttons will take into account any Search / Filter / Sort applied to the last list page you were on.
- For example, on "Open Requests", if you searched "Laptop", and you see 10 requests on your page, the Previous/Next buttons will go in order based on that search result.
- For example, on "Open Requests", if you filter to just requests at the "High School", the Previous/Next buttons will go in order based on those filtered results.
- For example, on "Open Requests", if you sort descending on the "Submitted" column, the Previous/Next buttons will follow that sort order on that specific list page.
4. Previous/Next buttons will only go as far as the request count on the last list page you were viewing.
- For example, if you're on page 4 of "Open Requests" and that page has a record count of 20, the Previous/Next buttons will only cover those 20 requests on page 4 of "Open Requests".
