ML Work Orders™ Users with Administrative Permissions have the ability to Receive Inventory.
Receive Inventory:
1. Select Inventory > Receive Inventory.
2. Search on the item that you are receiving or select the scan icon to scan the barcode of the item that you are receiving.
3. Enter the quantity, vendor, cost, and any additional information you want to track.
Note: If the inventory general setting (settings -> setup items -> General Settings -> inventory tab) "Auto Calculate Inventory Unit Price:" is set to "No", then when receiving an inventory order, users will have the option to update the inventory item unit price to match the price per unit of the receiving order.
4. Select the Save Button. If you select the Save/Add button, this will save the received item and allow you to track additional inventory items as received.
Note: The page will automatically display the unit of the inventory item. In addition to this, the costs at the bottom will be auto-calculated.
Receive Inventory (unit price updates):
When receiving inventory, there is an option in your general settings "Auto Calculate Inventory Unit Price: " that will auto-calculate the unit price. This will be based on the overall cost for all inventory received, and then it will divide by the current quantity of the inventory item.
If this is enabled, you will see this message displayed at the top of the Receive Inventory page.
Note: If this setting is enabled, you will not be able to edit the inventory unit price since the unit prices will get set when receiving.
