ML Work Orders™ Users with the Manage Assets Permission have the ability to create and edit existing Assets.



Creating a New Asset


1.  Select Assets > View All Assets.



The Manage Assets page will be displayed. 



2. To add an Asset, select the Add Icon ()


3. Select the Asset Type from the drop-down menu.



Note: Depending on what Asset Type is selected the corresponding fields for that asset type will be displayed. 


4. Enter the information in the Manage Asset Section and upload an image of the Asset.


Note: Multiple images can be uploaded when adding an Asset or Editing an Asset. You can do this by selecting Choose File and Control-clicking multiple images.


A separate Manage Images will appear so you can delete images. 



5. Enter the remaining information in the fields. 


Note: EFR standard sections can be expanded on to add additional information for the asset.

Note: You can assign users that do not exist in the system to an Asset. You can do this by clicking into the Assigned Users field and typing in a name, and select Enter on your keyboard. Once that is done, you can click Save. 


*The Client Name field will display under the Asset Name field. When using both ML Work Orders and ML Drawings. Drawings will auto-populate an Asset name based on the Asset Type selected when annotating a drawing.


Having a client name will allow you to display the name of your choice rather than the auto-populated name.

Note: The name displaying will affect all pages, including Inventory, Assets, PMs, and when creating a Work Order. 



7. Select the Save.



Editing an Asset


1. Select Assets > View All Assets.


2. Select the  Icon next to an existing Asset


3. Modify any Asset information


4. Click Save


Note: The following message may appear if you use both MLW and MLD. "Please note that this change will also impact the settings on ML Drawings.”



Viewing an Assets Binder/section


1. Select Assets > View All Assets.


2. Select an Asset you would like to view.



3. Select the Binders tab at the top of the asset details page



Viewing an Assets on a Drawing


1. Select Assets > View All Assets.


2. Select an Asset you would like to view.



3. Select the Drawings tab at the top of the asset details page



4. Select a Drawing that the asset is associated with



Once the drawing has been selected, it will load the drawing and filter for the asset being viewed. 



Setup Recurring Costs for Assets


1. Select Assets > View All Assets.


2. Select an Asset you would like to view.



3. Scroll down to Recurring Cost and click Add Cost.



4. Fill out the information below.


Type = Select the recurring cost type.


Cost = Type in the cost amount.


Start Date = Select a Start Date.


Recurrence (required) = Select the recurrence of the cost.


5. Click Save
